  • Electrical Engineer

    Description:

    The Electrical Engineer is responsible for design and development of simple electrical systems, as well as, large new product development projects that may require new hardware and firmware. This position is further responsible for evaluating the functionality/performance of those designs.

    1. Evaluates, selects, and applies standard engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria.
    2. Capable of design and development, selection and testing of electrical components, preparation of specifications, process study, research investigations, and report preparation.
    3. Evaluates, selects, and applies standard engineering techniques, calculations, procedures, and criteria.
    4. Works with other team members to integrate designs with those of others in a large scope development project.
    5. Provides support for new products through new hardware and firmware solutions.  Presents and recommends alternative solutions by examining such criteria as make-versus-buy, reusing existing hardware/software versus new designs, cost versus benefits, reliability, scheduling, etc.
    6. Be able to multi-task several design assignments.
    7. Develops and manage priorities to ensure timely completion of tasks.
    8. Manages cost implications of designs.
    9. Function as a technical resource to others in the department.
    10. Proficient at performing all functions of Electrical Engineer role.
    11. Maintains focus on continuous improvement through researching and sourcing innovative, cost-efficient business solutions and making recommendations to upper management.


    Requirements:

    Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, required.

    Experience: 

    • Minimum five years total experience in progressively responsible positions in the field of specialty.
    • Minimum five years experience in a design-engineering environment dealing with food service equipment and/or appliances.
    • Proven experience  in Product Development from concept to implementation.
    • Proficient in embedded microcontroller circuit and board design and assemblies.
    • A knowledge of sensor interfacing circuits.
    • Capable of microcontroller software development in C.
    • Extensive knowledge of electronic development and spice simulation.
    • Minimum of four years experience with development tools.
    • Experience with Solid Works, preferred.
    • Experience in LEAN environment, a plus.
    • Proven analytical skills.
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills are required
    • Solid organizational abilities, attention to detail.
    • Proficient in the knowledge and use of MS Office (Word, Excel).

  • Sustaining Engineer

    Description:

    The Sustaining Engineer is responsible for supporting all day-to-day engineering activities that fall outside of new product development.  This includes issues with current designs and execution of cost reduction initiatives. 

    1. Evaluates, selects, and applies standard engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria.
    2. Capable of design and development, selection and testing of materials, preparation of specifications, process study, research investigations, and report preparation with support/direction of a higher level engineer.
    3. Evaluates, selects, and applies standard engineering techniques, calculations, procedures, and criteria.
    4. Works with other team members to integrate designs with those of others in a large scope development project.
    5. Provides support for new products through new hardware solutions.  Present and recommend alternative solutions by examining such criteria as make-versus-buy, reusing existing hardware/software versus new designs, cost versus benefits, reliability, scheduling, etc.
    6. Be able to multi-task several design assignments.
    7. Develops and manage priorities to ensure timely completion of tasks.

    10. Proficient at performing all functions of Associate Engineer role.
    11. Maintains focus on continuous improvement through researching and sourcing innovative, cost-efficient business solutions and making recommendations to upper management.


    Requirements:

    Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, required.

    Experience: 

    • Minimum seven years total experience in progressively responsible positions in the field of specialty.
    • Minimum seven years experience in a design-engineering environment dealing with food service equipment and/or appliances.
    • Minimum of five years experience with refrigeration systems and cold beverage equipment.
    • Proven experience  in Product Development from concept to implementation.
    • Proficient designing molded parts, sheet metal parts, and assemblies.
    • Extensive knowledge of various types of manufacturing equipment and their limitations.
    • Minimum of four years experience with solid modeling CAD development tools.  Experience with Solid Works, preferred.
    • Experience in LEAN environment, a plus.
    • Experience with VAVE techniques, a plus.
    • Proven analytical skills.
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills are required
    • Solid organizational abilities, attention to detail.
    • Proficient in the knowledge and use of MS Office (Word, Excel).
